For more than two decades , the Passion movement has gathered students and leaders from across the nation and world to begin the new year with a singular purpose of glorifying God and uniting in worship , prayer , and spiritual awakening . The 2024 Conference was held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and hosted more than 55,000 in attendance over the 3-day conference . Out of that worship experience comes Passion ’ s latest live album , Call On Heaven which boasts a whopping collection of 14 songs led during the conference by the Passion team including Kristian Stanfill , Cody Carnes , Crowder , Kari Jobe and Brooke Ligertwood to name a few .
The best song on the album is one that I wrote about in December in our “ Song Spotlight ” here at Worship Musician . “ He Who Is To Come ” features Kristian Stanfill and Cody Carnes teaming up in this inspiring , hope filled look at Christ ’ s return taken from the pages of Revelation . The song ’ s highlight is the hookdriven chorus which is glorious as Carnes and Stanfill ’ s voices mesh seamlessly to help paint a triumphant musical picture of Jesus wearing his crown and returning on the clouds to claim us .
Brooke Ligertwood gives a stirring performance as her shimmering alto brings the worshiper to the foot of the cross in the powerful piano ballad , “ Calvary ’ s Enough ” while Crowder blows the roof of the dome with the foot-stompin “ Grave Robber ” which is a fun mix of house beats / rap and southern country-rock that only Crowder could pull off .
Overall this is another great collection of songs by the folks from Passion . They just keep doing what makes them great , releasing singable , well-written songs that are not only Sunday ready but also , for the most part , musician friendly . The mix on this particular album was a little rougher than previous releases as there were a few times I noticed a bit of distortion with it , but other than that the quality of arrangement , musical genre and overall theme came through nicely . There are some great songs here .
1 . Testify 2 . How Could I Not 3 . Victory Is Near 4 . Evidence 5 . Restore Me 6 . Praise The Lord 7 . Living Proof 8 . Kingdom Crowns 9 . Glory Fills This Room 10 . His Name 11 . Only You 12 . Peace In Place 13 . There Is Power 14 . Made a Way 15 . Praise the Lord
