adjustments . Channels one and two also offer 48V phantom power for microphones that require that . Other indicators and settings on the IRX One PA include Bluetooth pairing button ( connected fast to my smart phone for music ), Main Power , AFS ( automatic feedback suppression , Music Ducking ( it brings down the music level when you are speaking ), 5 EQ settings , limit indicator and Main Level .
The most valuable addition to the JBL IRX One system , in my opinion , is the 5 preset EQ selections . They range from flat , speech , DJ , KTV ( stands for karaoke television ), Café and Bright . I recommend trying all of them out to see which sounds best in the situation you are in , the Bright and Café were my personal favorites .
Connectivity is very straight forward with XLR / 1 / 4 ” combo plugs for channels one and two , ¼ ” only input for channel three and a ¼ ” mix output . Testing out the JBL IRX One , using multiple input sources , Bluetooth sourced music sounded incredible .
Microphone and guitar inputs sounded clean and full with plenty of headroom sound wise . The only features I wish the JBL IRX One had are Reverb effects for the vocal channels and an XLR output . But for a self-contained portable column PA that can be used in a wide variety of live music situations we must also remember it is priced under $ 1,000 at only $ 949 .
I have played through PA systems that cost three times this amount that didn ’ t have as many options and didn ’ t sound this good . For the money and features the JBL IRX One Allin-One Column PA system is a tremendous value . At 1,300 watts it can handle the majority of your gatherings and the column projects extremely well with the C Shaped array on top . Easy storage , light weight , 5 pre-programmed EQ settings and simple assembly make this JBL a winner .
