Tele , and that actually affords a more warm , rich acoustic tone before you ever even plug the guitar in .
With that offset body shape , the Jazzmaster has always kind of been the rowdier sibling of the bunch and we tried to take that same approach . Teles obviously are very prevalent in a lot of music , Country tends to lean there , the Strat leans towards Bluesy Rock music . The Jazzmaster was intended for Jazz music , but folks use it for everything from Punk music to everything in between . So , it was exciting because we got the chance to utilize that larger body shape as we decided how we were going to voice the guitar . stand alone , those are three major areas . This time around we utilized a jumbo-sized guitar in position 4A , and we blend that into a small bodied mahogany guitar on position 4B , which , if you ’ re dead center between those two that is a guitar that just doesn ’ t exist in physical form . And that ’ s super exciting , because that ’ s what Acoustasonic offers . It gives you the core staples of what an acoustic and electric can be .

Our in-house pickup guru Tim Shaw actually designed a stacked humbucking pickup specifically for the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster . That ’ s not a pickup that we use in our electric world , he specifically designed it for this guitar which is super exciting when you get over to the electric side of things . It definitely has a little gnarl and grit and rowdiness to it , which is what we intended !
This body shape again afforded us to do something different than we did on the Strat and Tele in that in position 2A we are literally letting the guitar breathe and act like a traditional acoustic guitar , utilizing the under-saddle pickup just as you would on a dreadnaught or on a parlor that ’ s amplified . We were able to accomplish this because of the larger body shape . It was super exciting to see where that led us , because in that same position as you roll over to the B side it becomes more of a gritty , crunchy Piezo pickup . However weird or different that sounds , a lot of the artists feedback has been that they are gravitating towards that because it ’ s a unique sound that hasn ’ t been out there , or they haven ’ t heard before .
So those three things , those major pillars when you think of something to make it stand out and
