FENDER AMERICAN ACOUSTASONIC JAZZMASTER by Doug Doppler

Fender is celebrating their 75 th Anniversary , and the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is a great example of the fact that this brand is seventy-five years young . As much as we loved the Acoustasonic Tele and Strat , this is by far our favorite of the trio . As a prelude to the review , we thought it would be insightful to hear from Billy Martinez aka ‘ Fender Billy ’, the man responsible for bringing this guitar to market !
[ WM ] Billy , thank you so much for joining us , give us your official title and let us know what your key responsibilities are for that title ?
[ Billy Martinez ] Vice President of Category Management for both acoustic and the Squire divisions . I oversee all of the product line management of both acoustics traditional and Acoustasonic , as well as our entire Squire division . I have a great group of folks working diligently on creating the best in class products year over year and have had some great successes including this new Jazzmaster Acoustasonic that we ’ ve just launched .
[ WM ] Speaking of the new Jazzmaster Acoustasonic , this thing sounds , plays , and looks great . Acoustically speaking it ’ s the loudest of the trio of instruments that have come out thus far . Can you tell us what separates this instrument from the Acoustasonic Tele and Strat ?
[ Billy ] Yeah , you nailed it , right away out of the gate it ’ s a larger body , you ’ ll notice that lower bout is much larger than both the Strat and the
