awards , obviously . And , I don ’ t do it just to try to be number one . I do it because I ’ ve got the gift , if you like , and the talent for being able to listen and to very quickly perceive what ’ s going on in the signal . And , of being able to design amplifiers and preamplifiers . It ’ s experimental in the first place and it will eventually conform to what I think is good . I do some adjustments and modifications and eventually you get it more or less right , but you never get it entirely right because , at some point , you ’ ve got to finish it up and sell it or you don ’ t eat . I thoroughly enjoy what I do . I know that it is a talent , which has been given to me . The Lord gave me that talent and I ’ ve tried to honor him by using it to the best of my ability .” In this same interview , he went on to share that things had gone quite well for him and that he was encouraged to see at several points that the Lord had gone before him and prepared the way .
In 1975 , Neve and his wife sold Neve Companies and established ARN Consultants and later Focusrite Ltd ., continuing to produce large-format mixing consoles and outboard equipment . In 1994 , Neve and Evelyn moved to the small town of Wimberley , Texas . And in 2005 , they established Rupert Neve Designs .
