the new position of the Decay knob .” Now the user does need to be using the same algorithm in order to keep those trails but this is still a feat that is really unheard of in a unit this size and at this price point . Especially one that is able to go toe to toe with the big box units when it comes to sounds .
Now the trade off as I am sure you may have already realized is the three knobs ( mix , decay and a preset specified control knob ) leave little opportunity to really tweak the sound of the reverb to the user ’ s preference . Fear not ! JET has done an amazing job dialing in the algorithms on the front end so the user can spend more time playing and worshipping . Not an overwhelming amount of lows in the trails , the highs aren ’ t piercing , and the mids are neither nasal or muffled . Just a nice even-keel tone that sits perfectly under your dry signal .
The three algorithms are all based on a halltype verb - mod , shimmer , sub / anti-shimmer . The mod can be dialed out of the first to give you a huge hall with a nice dissipating trail or to give a subtle warmth and space to the player ’ s sound . But the mod can be cranked to add some color and texture to a massive lead tone . The shimmer is smooth and even , not abrasive as other units can be . But the star of the show , in my opinion , is the anti-shimmer . Even at prominent settings it does not sound like its own layer of sound but instead a welcomed addition to the reverberated signal giving depth and size on leads , clean arpeggiated parts and swells . When asked about how he uses the pedal , I discovered Junior and I think a lot alike … “ I really love to kick on a few overdrives and some 1 / 4 note tape delay for single note lead type stuff . Engage one of my presets on the Revelation using the Mod algorithm with the Mix set at roughly 9 or 10 o ' clock , decay around 12 to 1 o ' clock , and the Cntrl 1 ( modulation ) straight up at 12 o ' clock . This provides a rich , lush and dense reverb that kind of sits underneath your guitar and just floats / swirls around filling up a ton of space behind your lead lines …”
