experience. The result is a full bottom end, and( borrowing from their own description)“ present mids and extended highs.” I really can’ t describe that better.
For my experience, I can say, there’ s nothing missing! I’ m super particular about my acoustic guitar sound and I’ ve been known to change strings to get rid of muddiness. In fact, I rerecorded an acoustic track several times using several different guitars. I wonder had I been using these Unity Dynamics to monitor if I would have re-recorded so many times. Because I just played back the recording I’ ve been working on, and there was much more clarity than I realized! Wow! There is plenty of depth( low-end) and plenty of headroom( The Unity Dynamics maintain clarity at higher volume levels).
I lead worship on Thursday nights for the Celebrate Recovery group at church. Last night,( I’ ve never done this before, because it kind of grosses me out, but …) I let my drummer and my bass player put them on and listen. I wanted to get their response and to also see how they fit. It’ s hard to understand … almost strange how well they fit on two other guys with different looking ears! So, we’ re 3 for 3 on perfect fit. As for sound, they both agreed the Unity Dynamics were clearer and more full sounding than what they were using. Glad I got to lead with them( yes, I cleaned them).
These IEMs would be a great choice for all positions on the worship platform. For drums, bass, and keys there is plenty of pronounced low end. For vocals, the slightly scooped mids make room to hear the voice clearly. For guitars, keys, and drums the extended highs provide the shine, sparkle, and clarity that I look for. I highly recommend these! And again, for $ 269, they sound like a steal! $ 269 PlungeAudio. com
