What I ’ ve found is if you ’ re not writing a song from a place of experience and from a place of your actual relationship with God it ’ s just going to fall flat .
It took us a while to be able to finally have a [ WM ] interview with Cory . We just never seemed to cross paths editorially and then one day it just happened .
I ’ d never heard a group of people sing that loud and come so hungry and expectant for God to move . There is something that happens when people come expecting that . It ’ s just absolutely electric !
We were genuinely happy when we had the chance to interview Brandon Lake . He is one man that is showing up in several different worship streams . I think that is great .
I want to be the best that I can , but I ’ m also not intimidated if there ’ s people that are much better at things . I know my place , I know what God ’ s called me to do . We ’ re really digging into that place of just honoring the people that you ’ re with , whether you are leading them or being led by them . If you can learn to honor people , then I think it creates and establishes a safe environment for people . And that ’ s really what we ’ ve tried to achieve .
We have interviewed many pastors of worship movements before , but this one was my favorite . The Belonging Co . is another expression of a collective of worship leaders producing wonderful worship - both local and global .
