Maybe it ’ s not fear , but a disappointment of having to go through something extremely difficult that you might not understand . God is always going to turn it for good . But there is still the experience of walking through it and a waiting period .
Kari is just plain nice with a servant ’ s heart . The fact that she is married to Cody Carnes means that two of the nicest people in Nashville live at the same house !

From the first time I watched a YouTube video of Mav City I knew something special was going on musically . They have a songwriter ’ s collective approach there and it works !
So yeah , there is one phrase that ’ s always been with me for my whole time doing this music stuff … “ the soul can dance in a body that ’ s still ”. Because I think as a person on stage , you ’ re trying to get immediate feedback , that half the time it ’ s non-verbal . And if you see somebody standing there staring at you with their arms crossed or something , and you ’ re like , “ I ’ m terrible at my job .” ( laughing ) So I always had this thing in my head regarding the soul . You don ’ t know what ’ s going on inside . What ’ s going on in the heart of a man ? And there can be a lot going on internally .
If you know anything about [ WM ] magazine you know that David was the cover story on our first issue 20 years ago . He became a friend and is still more fun than a barrel full of monkeys to talk with .
