When you first enter your greeted by what looks like a typical guitar shop counter on the left and custom Gibson Nashville apparel on the right . You can ’ t help but look up to the ceiling as almost 200 Gibson instruments are on a conveyer rotating around the room above you . Then things go to the next level of guitardom . The Murphy Lab is a space where guitarists can choose their wood , finish , neck dimensions and every other minute detail of their dream guitar to build their personal Custom Guitar .
In the next section is the Gibson Repair and Service room where you can bring your instrument in for repairs or adjustments . Most repairs are done on premises but if it is something major , then the guitar will go across town to the repair shop at the factory .
Kramer guitars are represented nicely with their own special retro decorated nook . Inside information ; the vintage stickers on the wall were all purchased off of eBay and some like “ I Love Rush ” were very expensive , but also authentic !
The Gibson Stage , in the center of the room , is not only designed for live performances but for streaming and recordings that are uploaded to Gibson TV . Cesar Gueikan , Brand President of Gibson said , “ This will be our launch platform to show what is coming and a test platform . We also want to showcase emerging artists ”.
