results than that amazing sounding purchase you can ’ t get out of your head .
Then when it is time to think about new hardware , software , or plugins you ’ ll know that the ingredients down the signal chain won ’ t degrade all that great audio you ’ ve invested in .
FOCUS THREE : DOES IT FEEL GOOD ?
This last focus is something I ’ m often guilty of neglecting . I find that I can pretty easily get used to working and playing music in less than ideal situations , likely just because I enjoy playing music so much and I ’ m willing to make do with what ’ s available if it means I get to do what I love . the way performing onstage feels .
This can be as simple as finally deciding to replace the nearly broken piano bench or worn-down barstool that you can barely tolerate sitting on for more than a song or two . Or it might be choosing to invest a good bit of money into buying a new keyboard or MIDI controller specifically because the keybed will feel drastically more musical to play when you ’ re on stage . Very recently I found myself in that exact situation , having finally bit the bullet after putting it off for over a year and upgrading my semi-weighted keyboard to a new , fullyweighted one . After upgrading I so wish I would have valued that improved feel enough to have made that investment much sooner .

Happy budget crunching !
To a certain extent I think that ’ s an admirable trait and a helpful posture , especially if you are operating on a smaller budget . However , I do think that sometimes we take this posture too far and put off making upgrades or changes that would offer a significant improvement to
QUALITY CONTROL
Unless you ’ re one of the lucky ( very ) few who don ’ t have to worry about fitting your worship gear needs into a pretty tight budget , then hopefully being reminded of one of the three
