We are excited about something totally new for us here at [ WM ] Worship Musician. We produce live events( and have done so for years), but we have never added the layer of a“ live stream” like this. And this one is directly from Anaheim the day before the NAMM Show kicks off. In fact, I think we will be the first media outlet to live stream for this massive event.
HOW DID THIS COME ABOUT? Well, we rent a beautiful venue in Anaheim for our Pre-NAMM HANG. It takes place in the evening, but during the daytime, the venue just sits there with nothing going on. They happen to have a very nice loft area too, and I thought to myself,“ How can we utilize this space we are already paying for?” And so the livestream idea was born.
WHAT WILL WE BE LIVE STREAMING?“ 10 Cool Things at NAMM.” 10 new products that we think you should know about from these prestigious companies: C. F. Martin, Washburn, DOD, HK Audio, Beyerdynamic, NORD, Solo Dallas, British Drum Co., Hi-Watt amps, and Allen & Heath.
Our Editorial Gear Director, Doug Doppler, and I will be hosting the live stream with our usual amount of back-and-forth banter and hopefully some good musician humor tossed in. We will be joined by our resident guitar columnist Chris Rocha, and our dear friend Tom Brooks( Christian music producer, and Music Director for Alan Parsons), along with several product managers from the companies themselves.
Just like our magazines, you can enjoy this live stream for free. We will broadcast on Wednesday, January 21, at 2:00pm Pacific Standard Time.
