[ Sebastian ] On this occasion , I want us to go over a brief list of some of the essential tools for the beautiful job we have as worship musicians . So , if you don ’ t know where to start ( because the online catalog or the wall of guitar pedals at a music store can be overwhelming and intimidating ) then you ’ re at the right place .
[ Chris ] Often it can be very discouraging for some people to invest in their tools because of all of the options that are out there .
[ Sebastian ] I completely agree , that ’ s why today we ’ ll be talking about my go-to pedals and I hope it will help you make the right choices or at least be able to narrow it down to what works for you .
[ Chris ] I ’ m all for that .
[ Sebastian ] Today I ’ m going to share my top five guitar pedals with you .
1 ) Boss TU3 : It all starts with being in tune . The Boss TU has consistently been the standard throughout the years when it comes to tuning pedals . And it ’ s no surprise . The solid build and durability of the Boss pedals , on top of the bright LED lights and ease of use , is what makes them so popular .
[ Chris ] I love this pedal .
[ Sebastian ] It ’ s so good . Let ’ s move on to the next pedal on the list .
2 ) El Capistan by Strymon : This list could have easily been completely covered by the Strymon pedals if we really wanted . But I have specifically chosen the El Capistan for a couple of reasons . The El Capistan is simply a compact and easy to use pedal .
It gives you the right amount of options and controls needed to create tape echo delays rich in harmonics and saturation .
Although , the El Capistan doesn ’ t offer all of the modulation and controls that the Big Sky offers , the tap tempo , the 5 knobs and 2 switches on the El Capistan offers the great tonal variety and control needed to keep your delay tones musical and under control at all times .
[ Chris ] I have yet to try this pedal out . I ’ ll have to add it to my list of recommendations .
[ Sebastian ] In third place , we have a pedal that I love mainly because of its ease of use .
3 ) H9 by Eventide : Not having a Big Sky or a Timeline on your board doesn ’ t mean you can ’ t have all the beautiful modulations and delays that you need , that ’ s where I believe that the H9 not only delivers ,
