For the musical instrument industry , January always means the great pilgrimage to Anaheim , CA for the Winter NAMM Show . Last year 115,000 musos of one type or another gathered in seven large exhibitor halls to walk among literally hundreds of exhibit booths .
Being an ‘ industry only ’ type of event , the day-to-day musicians that play in your church or frequent your local music store , most likely never have an opportunity to attend .
Well , that scenario has changed . With the Covid pandemic still at large the thought of gathering 115,000 people ( who have literally traveled from all over the world ) just won ’ t work .
Our good friends at NAMM took a long look at how they can serve the industry well via a virtual convention , and in so doing found a way to welcome you in as well . Not only now can any musician - anywhere in the world - take advantage of some great opportunities to see brand new products direct from the manufacturors all over the world , but you can also hear some great music from many of your musical heroes and get some valuable training in too . NAMM has dubbed this large scale virtual extravaganza – ‘ Believe in Music ’ Week .
