TC Delay pedals do not take tap tempo so the Molten Voltage Tempode coverts tap to MIDI Clock . Clock gets sent to the ES-5 and then out to the TC Alter Ego and TC X4 . This ensures everything keeps to the set tempo regardless of patch changes .
The ES-5 also controls the presets on the TC Alter Ego and TC X4 via Midi
