In addition to the numbers of attendees and exhibitors being up , it seemed to me that optimism for the future was up as well . Lots of good things happened for us as a magazine editorially and advertising wise . We had a large team of our writers and close friends of the magazine there covering the convention floor for us . We are grateful for our good working relationship with the NAMM organization itself and their support of the worship community .
The day before the show we loaded in and set up our [ WM ] Worship Musician exhibit booth in Hall E ( the acoustic guitar hall this year ). Spotted in the booth in the photo on the left is our capo columnist Mitch Bohannon and then on the right is our right-hand man of all we do Brian Felix .

What is amazing about being an exhibitor is that you can walk around the entire seven large exhibit halls and see all the companies setting up their booths . Watching out for forklifts driving by and stepping over shipping supplies , we always run into friends along the way , and we pass out invitation postcards to our Worship Musician Chapel on Saturday morning .
C . F . Martin holds a Press Event before the show opens and we go each year to see what one of our favorite guitar companies has new . This year didn ’ t disappoint with the new double neck 12-string and 6-string acoustic guitar and a visit from legendary classic rock guitarist Peter Frampton . Peter has been dealing with some serious health challenges . He had a hard time walking with his cane stepping up the two stairs to the little stage , so they placed a chair on the floor for him . What you would think would be a setback for him emotionally , Peter took it in stride , and went on to say how he has had to adjust his life , guitar playing and even touring to accommodate his health which seems can change daily . It was a courageous and inspiring attitude from a guitarist I have admired since I was a teenager in the 70 ’ s . Go Peter go !
