We had several other friends that volunteer to help run the booth and help us do what we do there too . They also deserve mention here . In fact , it was so loud at times and so full ( 65,000 people ) that I had the thought as I was walking through the large halls full of musical equipment crowded with musicians … that if the Rapture happened during the NAMM Show would anyone inside the Convention Center notice ?
Day 1 of the show ended with a wonderful and quiet meal at the California Grand Hotel hosted for the press my C . F . Martin guitars . That was a nice way to wind down .
Day 2 was off to the races with lots of meetings and bumping into old friends . Our growing retail side of what we do ( Solo Dallas Pedals , Riggio Custom Guitars , LR Bagg ’ s etc .) picked up two new opportunities that we are excited about . I visited EFNOTE Drums – the best feeling and sounding digital drums I have ever seen ( and I go way back to the first TAMA Tech Star kits in the 1980 ’ s ). The EFNOTE booth was packed the entire show . I must of gone back there 10 times hoping to sit down and play one of the seven different kits they had on display and every time they were full ! You can see what we offer here …

Then we found a few different guitar companies that we are wanting to work with … the first one out of the gate will be Larrivee Guitars . We are working on something special to offer worship guitarists . I will keep you posted .
Day 3 started with a special honor – the nice folks at NAMM gave me and nine other individuals the “ Believe in Music ” Award for longtime contributions to the industry . We had breakfast and a photo taken with the new president of NAMM and then they announced us before the large crowd at the morning meeting . That was something new for me . I thank the Lord for the recognition , but we all know who deserves the glory for it . He does . My joke that day was , “ I guess if you live long enough around the NAMM show – they start giving you awards ”.

Our Worship Musician Summit banner Saturday crew ended up at Denny ’ s again for dinner , as morning as well – go Doug ! we were all too tired to go anywhere else .
After breakfast there Michael Hodge ( longtime Day 4 arrived and as I tried to walk in the Spirit friend and guitarist for Lakewood Church in each day I was there and wanted to be aware Houston ) and I drove to the Orange County of opportunities to plant seeds for the Kingdom Fairgrounds for the World Guitar Show ( a in my conversations , I was a bit apprehensive vintage guitar show ) that runs the same time about our Sunday morning Worship Musician ’ s as NAMM each year . I walked through the large Chapel that we host . The reason being as hanger there full of vintage guitars and amps this year I had booked myself as the guest and saw several friends and guitar dealers speaker . More on that and the link to the talk that we know from our own guitar shows that is in my Sound Check editor ’ s section of this we produce . issue . Thankfully that worked out fine and then
