TASCAM SONICVIEW 24XP | Kent Morris
Tascam has made quite an industry name for itself beginning in the early 1970s as the inhouse advanced arm of TEAC ( Tokyo Electro Acoustic Corporation ) and then becoming a separate professional division of the firm as home and project studios accelerated in popularity . Over the decades , benchmark products such as the 80-8 , 38 , MSR-24 and DA-88 recorders set the standard for the time . Tascam has also built notable mixing consoles such as the M-30 and DM-4800 , but the Sonicview 24XP strikes the opening chord of a new song for the company . The Sonicview series , which also includes the smaller 16XP desk and the SB-16D stage box , is a dramatic shift away from recording oriented consoles with some handy live features into a truly live based design . With its three touchscreens ( two on the 16XP ) the 24XP is set up to be fast and efficient in a live environment . The three screens can operate vertically , with each assigned to
