absolutely intoxicating . That thing is honestly like a grand piano , it ’ s so clear and open sounding . It was a great add to the more strat and jazzmaster styles I was using with Lauren at the time , it added some more really great tones and they look insane on stage !
[ WM ] As for your amp sound I might guess that you are a mix between vintage analog tube amps and modeling sounds as well . I know you worked with our mutual friend Rich Renken when he was at Line 6 and I know you appreciate Morgan and Elliott amps too . Tell us about your in-studio and touring amp rigs ?
[ Dwayne ] My current touring rig consists of the Elliott Pinetop , it ’ s a 5E3 circuit that would be similar to a classic Tweed Deluxe but with more headroom and more body . That is paired with a Morgan SW 50 head and 2x12 cabinet .
The SW 50 was inspired by a circuit similar to a Dumble , it has loads of headroom , power and clarity !
Both of those amps take pedals extremely well and are super responsive . I am using two of the Universal Audio Ox Top Box ’ s with the amps . They go in-between the amp and speaker and I can split the signal off with speaker emulation and send it to front of house as well as photo by Garret Lobaugh
