Some advice for your fellow worship guitar players : Find your way of staying inspired . For me , it ’ s finding sounds and effects that move me when I play them . And a favorite challenge of mine is finding out how to apply that very sound that moved me while playing live ( or recording ).
Also , leave just enough room for uncertainty when you are preparing to play live that you wonder what may be on the other side . I love being prepared , but more than that I love being caught off guard by what comes out of me in a pinch when there is just enough uncertainty . In worship we often call that “ spontaneous ”. It has birthed the most creatives lines and feel for me . landed on something that felt and sounded so close to the real thing , we looked at each other and said “ Wow ”.
We ’ re so thrilled that we can deliver this quality to anyone in any country , so it raises the standard of tone and playing for everyone across the board . At the end of the day we just want to be able to enjoy digital solutions when we need to use them , and thankfully we can give everyone else the same thing .
