GEAR REVIEW
DONNER ’ S RISING-G PRO CARBON FIBER ACOUSTIC GUITAR | Eric Dahl
Travel guitars are becoming the rage as so many of us are seeking to take our music out of the house or sanctuary and on the road with us . There are certainly many brands , styles , and configurations of travel guitars , but I have found the carbon fiber ones to be the best for varied climate changes without worrying about their setup or sound altering .
The new Rising-G Pro Carbon Fiber acoustic travel guitar by Donner instruments fits this bill . The body is a one-piece all-carbon construction that feels very ergonomic while you hold and play it . The sound hole is not in the center of the top like most acoustics but is placed on the upper bout of the guitar providing better projection for the player .
Other than the top the Rising-G Pro guitar has smooth edges all around the body and the neck . It projects a much louder and full sound than you would expect from a smaller bodied travel instrument . This could also be attributed to the A frame style bracing on the top of the guitar and the sound hole placement . All the frets are rounded with no sharp edges and the fretboard is one-piece HPL for stability .
The Rising G-Pro is available in Sky Blue ( as tested ), Carbon Dark , Cloud White , and
