Guiding Light
When two of modern worship’ s most respected
songwriters
collaborate,
expectations
are
naturally high. Thankfully, Benjamin William
Hastings and Aodhán King deliver an album
that lives up to them. Happy To Be Here is a
thoughtful, deeply personal collection of songs
that emphasizes God’ s presence, faithfulness,
and grace rather than chasing the next big
worship anthem.
Known for writing songs like“ So Will I( 100 Billion
X),”“ Gratitude,” and many Hillsong Young &
Free favorites, Hastings and King instead take a
quieter, more reflective approach. The production
is warm and organic, built around acoustic
instruments, tasteful harmonies, and lyrics that
invite listeners to slow down and reflect.
The title track immediately establishes the album’ s heart, celebrating the simple joy of belonging to Christ.“ Saturday” is one of the record’ s standout moments, exploring the silence between the crucifixion and resurrection while reminding believers that God is still working even when He seems quiet.“ Yahweh,” featuring Tiffany Hudson, is perhaps the album’ s strongest congregational song, while“ Separate,” inspired by Romans 8, offers a moving reminder that nothing can separate us from God’ s love. The fresh arrangement of the classic hymn“ Wondrous Cross( When I Survey),” featuring Cody Carnes, is another highlight, blending timeless truth with modern worship in a meaningful way.
Not every song is designed for corporate worship, however. While tracks like“ Yahweh” could easily find their way into Sunday morning services, much of the album is better suited for personal reflection than congregational singing. That’ s not a weakness— it’ s simply the nature of the project.
Happy To Be Here reminds us that worship isn’ t always about soaring choruses and stadiumsized moments. Sometimes it’ s about quietly recognizing God’ s faithfulness and responding with gratitude. Hastings and King have created a beautiful, mature album that rewards repeated listening and offers one of the year’ s richest collections of worship songs.

For years, Bethany Wohrle has been one of the most recognizable yet understated voices in the Bethel Music collective. Whether leading on“ Living Hope,”“ All Hail King Jesus,” or“ Sing of This,” she has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to draw attention away from herself and toward Christ. With her debut solo album, Reason That I Sing, she steps into the spotlight, not for personal recognition, but to share a deeply personal testimony of God’ s faithfulness.
At just eight tracks and under forty minutes, Reason That I Sing never feels rushed or incomplete. Instead, it unfolds like a devotional, each song building upon the central message that God’ s goodness remains steadfast through every season of life. The project was born in the aftermath of the heartbreaking loss of Wohrle’ s 18-month-old niece, making these songs less theoretical declarations and more hard-won testimonies of faith.
