of the key beliefs of orthodoxy and Christianity. I believe that Jesus is Lord. God raised him from the dead. He is our foundation. It’ s supposed to be the song that’ s almost like a salvation response in and of itself where it’ s like your eyes are open to Jesus is calling me. And then in the chorus I get to respond to that with this confession. I really love the song for that. I think it encapsulates the project, as a whole. Every song is hopefully going to bring us closer to the Lord and open our eyes to truths of him and his word. Yeah, so that’ s the idea behind the title track.
[ WM ] Okay. So, I noticed there’ s a couple of versions of“ O My Soul” on video. The official video that’ s actually on your website and YouTube, is absolutely wonderful. It’ s a beautiful video and it’ s a beautiful song. Tell us about that song?
[ Canaan ] Thank you. Yeah, that song was really, really fun. I got to write that with Mr. Dwan Hill and Jordan Sapp. Dwan Hill is the leader of the Choir Room. And we got into the room. I mean, Jordan Sapp’ s an amazing writer and producer, so he was there, kind of ready to serve whatever was happening in the writing room. Dwan and I were both writing songs. We both had projects coming up and it was just kind of like, all right, let’ s see where this goes and where it lands. And so, with the choir emphasis and the really repetitive singable chorus I had a choir in mind. And so, I love that song. It’ s supposed to be a song that you can wake up to and start singing to get your day on the right track and orient yourself on the Lord or end your day singing praise and meet you, midday if you need it. I love that song personally. [ WM ] It’ s a great song.
[ Canaan ] Thank you. And then that video was a collaboration with an amazing creative out of Seattle. His name is Zeus Ramirez. He serves on team at our church as one of our drummers, and he’ s an incredible creative director, videographer and all that. And so, I knew that
