The SOUND Let’ s get REAL- Sound is the bottom line here. For years I’ ve always said,“ Nothing sounds like my vintage Hammond”. I’ ve tried every clone on the planet, and nothing even comes close to the sound of the NORD Organ 3. Hands down, the most convincing B-3 emulation ever created. I would say,“ Indiscernible.”

The FEEL Ever tried a gliss or a‘ palm smear’ on weighted / squared-off keys? Yeah— those bloody fingers don’ t lie; there’ s way more to the B-3 than just classic sound. The feel of the Hammond‘ waterfall keybed’ absolutely impacts the way you play! And NORD has totally nailed it. Gliss. Smear. Slide. Go ahead, play how you play, and it’ ll feel just right.
The DRAWBARS This is where I fell in love with this axe.
The layout was instantly intuitive to me as a B-3 guy. Everything is in the right place. The Drawbar groups are exactly where they should be, and they pull out in the correct direction( unlike some clones out there). The Drawbars are perfectly designed for smooth, continuous sound, with a subtle dented path for repeatability; just like a classic Hammond. No learning curve required. Just trust your instincts and GO FOR IT!
The VERSATILITY Imagine you go to all the trouble of trucking your B-3 to the gig( been there), or you rent from a backline company( done that), either way you end up with one B-3 sound( and depending on the backline company, who knows if it’ s the sound you want?). The NORD Organ 3 gives you a fleet of different Hammonds to choose from. Different models, different keyclick options, different“ growl” flavors, Leslie types and more.
