As contemporary worship continues to evolve toward quieter stages and greater sonic precision, the gear supporting this movement must offer both innovation and inspiration. Enter the IK Multimedia TONEX Cab— a compact, powered Full-Range Flat Response( FRFR) speaker cabinet designed specifically for the needs of worship musicians using digital rigs and silent stage setups.
The TONEX Cab fills this gap beautifully. It provides an“ amp in the room” experience at controllable volume levels— or even silently when paired with headphones or in-ear monitors. Whether used on stage, backstage, or in an iso booth, it gives guitarists the tactile feedback of a real guitar amplifier while preserving the church’ s sonic goals.
Weighing just 28 pounds, the TONEX Cab delivers 350 watts RMS( 700W peak) through a custom 12” Celestion speaker and 1” Lavoce compression driver, producing up to 132 dB SPL. Its wide frequency range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz ensures accurate reproduction across the spectrum— from deep lows to sparkling highs— with no artificial coloration.
Housed in a sleek, road-tough wood enclosure, TONEX Cab features a clean black finish and swappable grill for aesthetic customization. The slightly angled design with built-in tilt-back legs improves onstage projection, making it suitable for floor placement, personal monitoring, or backline-style positioning.
Measuring 546 x 432 x 230 mm and weighing just under 28 lbs., the TONEX Cab is easy to carry, easy to place, and rugged enough for touring. The wood enclosure absorbs resonance and adds a subtle acoustic quality, while its form factor allows it to serve as a monitor wedge, upright cab, or isolation booth speaker.
