is actually seven years old, and this guitar has never been played”. And weirdly, when I picked the guitar up, I was like,“ This guitar needs two years of loving before it awakens”. And I’ m sort of almost at the two-year mark, and it’ s starting to sound okay now, but completely abandoned and neglected like a child.
So yeah, it’ s beautiful. And what’ s unique about it is it’ s all black, and they said they’ re very rare. It’ s very rare to find a Collings that has a black stain and veneer. And they said they only really make 12 a year of black ones out of 1,500 guitars. But it is great. It travels well, and yeah, I’ m enjoying it. It doesn’ t have that big bottom end that you don’ t need live, so it doesn’ t interfere with the guitars and the bass. anywhere and serve anything, where would you park it and what kind of food would you serve?
[ Martin ] I reckon we park it on Brighton Seafront, which is where we live. We live by the sea, the English Channel. We park it down there. And I think that we would have to have really great coffee. So that would be, I’ d have to have a La Marzocco machine in there and really, really good coffee. And on the food side, that’ s a great question. I like a small takeaway version of an English roast dinner … chicken roast dinner. My wife does amazing roast potatoes, olive oil, and then a bit of chicken, a bit of gravy, some veggies, and these potatoes. And it’ ll be unique. You can only get that at home. But that would be our truck.
[ WM ] Nice. That sounds like a lovely thing to do. God bless you Martin, and the future of this song. And I pray that this song will be like songs of many years ago that before the songs could be worked in the church, they had a life of their own, they had a spontaneous life, and God breathed on certain songs. I hope that’ s what happens with this song. God will breathe on it and that it will take on a life of its own, irrespective of whatever the label does. It’ ll just connect immediately and will help people in the church connect with the presence of God.
