Do you ever receive comments after the service ? After you have led sung worship for your congregation , what are people saying ?
Imagine if you received comments like these :
“ That was glorious . Well done , everybody .”
“ The power of community and love . Chills , literal chills .”
“ I love it ! Just love the joy and scale of the shared experience .”
“ Amazing ! Melts my heart .”
“ Shows such joy and love and community and diversity ; it fills my heart !”
“ No words can describe how amazing this truly is .”
Or what about comments left after people have watched the video stream of your Sunday service ? Are they ever like these ?
“ Videos like these make me believe in how wholesome humans can be !”
“ This video makes me believe that there is still beauty in this world .”
“ Someone show this to the world , so they understand what humanity is supposed to mean .”
“ If there could be only one video to send to Aliens on the true best face of Humanity , I think , this video should be that one ! So uplifting and great !”
“ There is nothing YouTube can recommend that will be more beautiful than this .”
“ This is god tier ! The people in this are awesome ”
“ Peace and unity brought by the power of song . If we can sing in harmony together , why can ’ t we live in harmony together ?!”
“ Every single one of those folks went home with a warm feeling that day .”
“ To people who say , ‘ its just a song ’, no it ’ s not . Music is powerful and can bring people together more than anything .”
“ This proves how music can bring people together .”
As I ’ m sure you ’ ve realized , these are not comments that people made after you led sung worship . They weren ’ t responses to when I led either . Nor are they comments made in response to any gathering of Christians who worship through songs . These are just a tiny sample of the thousands of positive comments left by viewers of Pub Choir YouTube videos . Videos of crowds of vocally untrained strangers in pubs or theaters who gather together to sing songs like “ I Want It That Way ” by The Backstreet Boys , “ The Winner Takes It All ” by Abba or “ Running Up That Hill ” by Kate Bush .
For the uninitiated ( or if you , like me , just love watching Pub Choir videos ) here ’ s a taste of the Pub Choir experience : One of the more recent additions to the collection as 2,500 people gathered in Sydney , Australia to belt out “ If I Could Turn Back Time ” by Cher .
