DPA Microphones sits squarely in the manufacturing niche between mass market players like Shure and Sennheiser and small boutique builders such as JZ Microphones and Telefunken . DPA is big enough to have name awareness in audio circles , but not so big as to blanket said market with ads and promotions . DPA has an overriding philosophy of impeccable build quality combined with absolute consistency from unit to unit across all platforms .
