to kind of take a break from reality , really , and enter the throne room together .
So whether you ’ re a believer or not , or your political beliefs or whatever , I think seeing people in their element , having fun , smiling , jumping around , and high energy … there ’ s something that is so disarming about that and so lighthearted that you don ’ t have to necessarily preach who you voted for from stage . But if there ’ s a smile on your face , someone else is going to smile .

We ’ re playing two venues that have been lifelong dreams for me : The Ryman Auditorium on November the 5th , which I ’ m fired up about , and then a place in Charlotte , North Carolina , where I ’ m from , called Ovens Auditorium , which is where I saw Bruce Hornsby when I was just 19-years-old . I saw Sting there with my wife when we were probably just 25 and newly married . So , it ’ s just a lot of history there for me , personally . I ’ m super excited .
I think there ’ s something really powerful about that , and certainly , you cater slightly depending on who your crowd is . You might have more church moments in a church , kind of how Jesus , with his ministry , He used parables to kind of reach people who didn ’ t really know what he was talking about .
