LIVE OR LIVE STREAM ? YOU PICK !
Each year I like to make the annual pilgrimage from Seattle , WA to Nashville , TN for the Worship Together Conference . Not only are they great partners with helping us distribute [ WM ], but they produce an excellent conference . After shutting down last year with the rest of the world , the fine folks at Worship Together were opening up the “ live in-person ” conference experience again , as well as also offering their top-drawer worship leaders and key note speakers to an on-line audience for the first time . This year my personal schedule was a bit overloaded , and I decided that I would not be able to attend in person . My next option was to partake of the event on-line , which I was a bit hesitant to do . Nothing compares to “ in-person ” to me , but I have to tell you my experience on-line surprised me . I got way more out of it than I expected !
This conference is unique in many ways well beyond the great line-up of artists etc . They are very ministry minded in their approach and there isn ’ t one hint of the “ star ” mentality . In fact , for each session in the main sanctuary ,
they don ’ t even tell you the schedule of who is appearing when . I love this ! You show up and see what they have planned for you . Brilliant !
There were many high-lights in worship and keynote speaker moments , but three of them that stood out for me were : One ,
hearing Christine D ’ Clario speak her heart on overcoming ( powerful ). Second , We The Kingdom ’ s performance (“ Child of Love ” is a terrific song live ). And three , Chris Brooks - a local pastor who leads a church of 53 people who just blew my mind with what he had to teach us !
Next year I plan on returning to ‘ in-person ’ and you may want to consider that too . For now , here is a recap video to watch . More of this great content will roll out as times goes on in the production process . Don ’ t miss it !
