don ' t notice these drastic differences in the volume coming through the microphone . It just does such a good job of catching my voice .
[ WM ] We ’ ve heard that you have moved the family to Montana . What a beautiful state !
I have several friends that have done that . How does this geographical move change your roles and responsibilities at Jesus Culture ?
[ Kim ] Well , it actually does change quite a bit because I ' m not geographically there at Jesus Culture anymore . I am limited in my involvement . Montana is not necessarily the easiest place to fly in and out of . Right now , originally our thought was I would come back once a month to lead worship .
Aside from Banning and I , our pastor , the founder of Jesus Culture , we ' ve stayed closely connected through everything . He has stayed in touch with me and Skylar regularly . That ' s been really great . Relationally , nothing ' s really changed , but we ' ve had to work out what does it look like for me to stay involved with Jesus Culture ?
We thought , " Well , I ' ll go back once a month to lead worship ." That ' s not as easy as we thought it would be simply because of how hard it is to travel . Right now , we ' re just trying to work it out . We haven ' t really found what that looks like . We ' re thinking every other month or maybe I ' ll just stick with a couple of times and do some events with them .
We ' re trying to figure that out . The biggest way it ' s changed is , is that I ' m not necessarily there to be involved in as many things as maybe I would have before .
[ WM ] Do you have any words of encouragement for aspiring female worship leaders ?
[ Kim ] I would say to aspiring female worship leaders , it is so important to have people around
