The Valeton GP150 and GP180 are versatile digital multieffects processors and amp modelers designed for guitarists, offering extensive tone shaping, IR loading, and practice tools in compact floor units. While sharing the same core platform, the GP150 features an integrated expression pedal, while the GP180 emphasizes dedicated footswitch controls for more performancefriendly operation. The main difference is that the GP-150 focuses on simplicity and portability, while the GP-180 offers expanded controls, connectivity, and performance features for players who need a more advanced live setup.
At the heart of both units is Valeton’ s secondgeneration HD modeling architecture, running at 24-bit / 48 kHz processing. This new platform represents a noticeable refinement in clarity and responsiveness compared to earlier Valeton units.
Both the Valeton GP-150 and Valeton GP-180 feature over 200 effects, covering the core categories most players expect: compressors, drives, modulation effects, delays, reverbs, and utility tools. The emphasis here is musical usability rather than sheer quantity. Many of the effects feel designed with real-world performance in mind, particularly in styles where spacious reverbs and rhythmic delays play a major role.
The Valeton GP-150 and GP-180 are both very capable of producing a wide range of professional guitar tones. Players can dial in clean Fender-style tones and also easily dial in tones with Vox AC style chime. Both units can produce realistic Marshall-style crunch, giving a tight, punchy overdrive that works well for classic rock riffs and lead guitar. When higher gain is needed the Valeton GP-150 and Valeton GP-180 can generate modern high-gain metal tones with saturated distortion, tight low end, and aggressive mids suited for heavy rhythm and lead playing. For modern worship, both units can easily build ambient effects with stacked reverbs and delays, creating spacious, cinematic textures often used in post-rock, and ambient music.
One of the most innovative features in both units is Valeton’ s SnapTone technology, which supports NAM( Neural Amp Modeler) file conversion. This allows players to import neural-modeled amp captures and store them directly on the device. Each unit can store up to 100 SnapTone files, greatly expanding the tonal possibilities beyond the built-in amp models.
Both the Valeton GP-150 and Valeton GP- 180 processors also support third-party
