OUR SISTER PUBLICATION IS BACK WITH RECORD SETTING GUITAR PRICES?
I would guess that most of you may not know our origins as magazine publishers. Here is the condensed version...
My vision started with an 8-page newsletter that I took to the NAMM Show. I called it Christian Musician. From my earlier days of managing a Christian record store that developed into a full music store I had relationships with NAMM companies as well as Christian record labels. From being a buyer for the record store for 11 years, I also knew the Christian artist’ s music well.
That first NAMM Show was pivotal, and the Lord was faithful like always. I shared the vision of a magazine aimed right at Christian musicians themselves, with in-depth interviews and the latest in gear news. I walked out of that convention with four advertiser’ s support … Yamaha, Takamine, Ensoniq and Tascam.
We were a print magazine back then. Six years later modern worship music started changing the way worship music was presented in the churches … which you are all aware of. I started a sister publication- which you know now as Worship Musician. It was a success from the first issue. We printed both magazines for several years and then merged the two publications. The next step was into“ all digital.” That transition went well too – God is faithful!
During those years I also started producing live events, Christian concerts, conferences and also mainstream guitar shows. My interest in vintage guitars and modern collectible guitars grew. So, another sister publication was born: Collectible Guitar – Then & Now.
We published that one for 3 and a half years and then Worship Musician started taking off even more. I put Collectible Guitar on hold and then this last NAMM Show I walked the halls again with a new vision – to bring it back. Just last month it has re-emerged as our Spring 2026 issue with the full telling of the most expensive guitar auction ever at Christies in New York. Records were set for iconic mainstream artists instruments. Lots of prime examples of regular vintage guitars were sold too. Our publication equation is the same with any magazine we publish … Good content + Good photography = Good Publication. If you are curious … here is a link to our sister pub.
All of our magazines are always free to you- our readers. Thank you for reading them!
