OVERVIEW Spark LIVE is an ultra-portable sound system that ’ s part guitar amp and part PA . Whether you ’ re a multi-instrumentalist , or a church in need of a small PA for mid-week rehearsals , Spark LIVE solves most of the challenges you face . It ’ s also great for singing along with backing tracks via Bluetooth audio thanks to the free Spark app – no soundman required !
Positive Grid ’ s Sonic IQ Computational Audio engine delivers great separation , depth and clarity for a wide array of input sources . Fueled by 150 watts of power , Spark LIVE also has enough headroom to do so with an astonishing amount of volume .
iOS + ANDROID APP CONTROL The Spark app enables you to control virtually every input source and feature from your mobile device . This combination of convenience and control is an integral part of the Spark LIVE experience . Channel 1 and 2 each feature two banks of four presets so you can easily dial up tones as well as recall those you edit , and / or push to the unit from the 50,000 presets on Positive Grid ToneCloud .
MASTER CONTROLS The Low , Mid , High , and Volume controls located on the back panel provide essential functionality for shaping the global EQ and volume to fit your environment . This will prove especially helpful for mid-week rehearsals in spaces that were never designed for live sound .
CHANNEL 1 If you ’ re an electric guitarist this channel is where you ’ ll want to live . From the face of the unit you can easily edit and store any of the eight stock presets with the Preset , Gain , Bass , Mid , and Treble controls . The Spark app gives you the access to 33 amp models and 43 effects from the award-winning BIAS tone engine , all of which you can edit and store as one of eight onboard presets . It also enables you to select from three impedance options ( Standard , Hi-Z , and Line ) ensuring proper input levels for traditional electrics , those with active pickups , or line level signals . In turn the Guitar and Music controls make it easy to balance the level between this channel and Bluetooth audio which is particularly useful when rehearsing your parts for Sunday .
CHANNEL 2 This channel sports a ¼ ”/ XLR combo jack designed with vocalists , bass , and acoustic guitars in mind . Since , the Input , Preset and Volume controls are located on the back panel , I ’ d be inclined to control it via the app , especially when using the kick stand or speaker mount . In addition to being able to control each of these features , the app also enables you to set the proper input level , as well as select , edit , and store vocal , bass , and acoustic-specific signal chain presets . Spark LIVE does not provide Phantom Power , so keep that in mind .
