Two-time Dove award winner and veteran worship artist , Meredith Andrews launched her music career as one of the regular leaders of the Vertical Worship collaborative back in the mid 2000 ’ s at Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago . Her latest full-length album , Heaven ’ s Frequency is a well-written and delivered collection of soft to mid-tempo worship anthems anchored by Andrews ’ shimmering vocal prowess and inspiring arrangements throughout . Thematically , the album is a cry for every believer to put all their dependence on the God who never fails .
The title track is one of many highlights of the 10-song collection as her bright and hopefilled voice borrows scripture and themes from Psalm 139 reminding the worshiper that how
we are never too far away from the one who breathed us into being .
“ The Lion , The Lamb and The King ” is past to future exploration of the Gospel that deeply digs into the plan of salvation set forth for us from the dawn of time . Andrews ’ bright soprano sparkles on this track and the chorus is laden with memorable hooks .
“ One Word ” and “ Yeshua ” are both gorgeously vertical anthems exalting the majesty and power of our God while “ No Weapon ” and “ Safe Place ” are both poignant reminders that when we experience the deep valleys of life , that He is always with us .
Heaven ’ s Frequency is an album that will grab and keep your focus on worship as you listen . These are songs written from a woman who is obviously leaning into a life of worship . The use of strings , piano and ethereal guitars , while soothing through most tracks , began to lose a bit of their luster and purpose as the album wore on . I would have enjoyed a few different arrangements and a song or two more on the rockin ’ side of worship . There are a lot of great songs here though .
1 . Where Else Can I Go ? 2 . No Home But You 3 . You Did Not Pass Me By 4 . Let Them Fall 5 . Oh Freedom
Anchor Hymns is a multigenerational collective of artists including such names as Tim Timmons , Taylor Leonhardt , Sandra McCracken , Leslie Jordan , Paul Baloche and Antoine Bradford just to name a few . Their latest EP , No Home But You was embarked upon by the collective with a specific purpose : to create songs resonating with those navigating the complexities of loss and longing , acknowledging the fractures in families , the strains of political discord , and the ensuing sense of being unmoored .
The project was recorded in a Nashville Mansion and is an unfiltered , raw collection of rock and roll hymns delivered by a bunch of friends celebrating the home and peace we all need and can share in Jesus . These songs are meant as an invitation to anyone feeling lost or adrift needing a safe and warm place to belong .
“ Where Else Can I Go ” the album kicks off with a powerful Rhodes organ and a multitude of voices singing in harmony proclaiming John
