OEKSOUND BLOOM ADAPTIVE EQUALIZER | Michael Hodge
Bloom is oeksound ’ s third Plug-in release . They ’ re based in Finland . Their two previous offerings , Soothe2 and Spiff , are considered “ Best in Class ” and are go-to plug-ins for many top composers and engineers . Bloom is a plugin that is so musical and a welcome addition to the oeksound family . Bloom doesn ’ t rely on AI but instead uses proprietary algorithms to make intelligent adaptive corrections in the audio material . It boosts and cuts frequencies and balances your audio uniquely and truly dynamically .
FIRST LOOK : I ’ m a big fan of oeksound ’ s Soothe 2 and Spiff . I use them on every project that comes through my studio . Even top mastering engineers use them . That tells me they must be excellent . Bloom has a familiar , welcoming , soft , pinkishpurple-colored interface with a clean layout . On the left is a master control section . The large knob called Amount is for the overall amount of processing . There are lots of options . From 0 to 3 is subtle , and past 7 will push into frequencydependent Squash mode for drastic tonal shaping .
Below the Amount knob are two smaller Attack and Release knobs . These control how transient or smooth you want the compressor
