soundchecks to bring strength if others forget ! It ’ s all twofold ... the more you work up front , the more you can feel and play with anointing during the set . Also , it will show you ’ re faithful with knowing your stuff and consistent , that will speak so loud to people to get more opportunities !
What you carry is so different and unique from any other player . No one can release the sound that you need to release . There ’ s a reason you are stirred to do what you want to do ; most likely it was on God ’ s heart first ! Lean in and ask Him what the next step is ! I ’ ve never gotten any of my musical opportunities from pursuing it myself , I served when no one was looking , and continued to worship in my living room all alone . God opened all the doors for me . And it ’ s always better than I could have arranged myself .
** Funny side story : I have this reoccurring dream for years that I ’ m showing up about 10 minutes before the set is supposed to start , it takes what feels like an hour to problem solve and get my rig up and going . Which in turn makes the set delayed to start and everyone is waiting on me , also I don ’ t know what the set list is ... AND ITS A PIANO INTRO TO A SONG I ’ VE NEVER HEARD ! I sit down , they look at me and say “ go !” That has been a good motivator over the years to not let that ever happen ! Haha !
GEAR LIST : Keyboards : I use my own sounds through MIDI so I don ’ t need a specific keyboard when I have gigs . But I do love the Nord for its options and creative ability when I ’ m not using my laptop .
