BE INTENTIONAL I have three little girls of my own now and , unfortunately , I know that they will most likely find themselves doing this same apologizing and justifying of who they are and what they bring . Almost every morning before they leave the house I remind them of who they are with these words , “ You are brave and strong , and kind , and I want you to be all of those things today .” The voices of the leaders around us should remind us of who we are , how we are gifted and the value of our voice . We need both female and male voices in circles of leadership , but we also need those voices advocating for those places to be filled with men and women .

Aubrey Wentz Aubrey is the Experience Development Director at Willow Creek Community Church and has been on staff at Willow for 14 years . She is passionate about the teams that make weekend life at churches happen and she loves our FILO Community . Aubrey and her husband are waiting for Willow to plant a campus in a tropical location so they can be in their favorite place all the time ... the beach !
