Producer David Garcia , no stranger to success , is a talented and humble musician , songwriter , arranger , and producer . He shares with us his perspectives on crafting and producing music as well as the new Carrie Underwood project .

[ WM ] I believe that you are from New York , Long Island to be exact , but were raised in Spring Hill , FL . Tell us about your earliest interest in music . Who were your heroes ?
[ David ] I left New York when I was five or six years old , and my earliest interest in music came from growing up in church . I was a preacher ’ s kid , and my Dad had a small church as long as I can remember . I got into music from Gospel music . I don ’ t want to say I ’ m super old , but I came from a time that ’ s a little bit different from now , where if you heard a band or an artist that you liked you would go to the record store , you ’ d find the CD . If you liked the band , you ’ d probably go through the CD booklet and look at the lyrics and the credits in there . So , from quite early on I was very intrigued with how the
