and there were a lot of differences! I remember
trying to find the meeting place of learning how
to lead and serve people who obviously had a
different way of connecting with God. At our
church, River Valley, we do have Assemblies of
God influence and affiliation, so we believe in
the presence of the Holy Spirit, and we believe
in the power and the emotion of that if it’s rooted
in the Scripture and in the Word of God. I say all
of that to say, it’s been a really fulfilling and fun
journey to help people learn and to take on the
authority to teach people what congregational
worship is all about.
