[WM] How did the doors open up for you to
lead worship at age 16? Were you raised in a
musical family?
[Phil] Yes, I was. I was raised in a really
musical family, where everyone sang or played,
especially on my Mom’s side. We had a lot
of gospel influences, in fact, my Grandfather
was the pastor over the choir at Brooklyn
Tabernacle for a few years when I was a kid.
