GEAR REVIEW RIVOLTA COMBINATA VII | Bruce Adolph KEY FEATURES neck profile is a C+ and feels like roomy and at home to me. • Designed By Fano The “Novanto” P-90 pick-ups give you lots of • “Novanta” P-90 Pickups tonal distinction between the three settings and • German Carved Maple Top mix that with the hollow body resonance and • 12” Fingerboard Radius you have something special here. This guitar • 1.687” Nut Width will play well with your pedalboard. Kick in some overdrive and now the Rivolta has some bite to it. This Rivolta Combinata VII is truly a unique electric guitar. It has some familiar looks to it, but then the features and feel are all its own… think part British invasion and part carve top. Dennis Fano of Fano guitars fame designed it. At first blush, it almost has a Rickenbacker vibe to it. Not a bad thing to emulate, but then this Rivlota fixes my main two pet peeves about most Ric’s. The Rivolta has a nice wide nut width (1.687”) and a wide flat fingerboard After playing this guitar several times I can truly say it just grabs your attention. I am impressed with the build quality, the ascetics, the playability and the sound. The guitar is lightweight and well balanced… two more things I like. The padded gig bag is extra but I recommend it as it is better than most, a lightweight Polyester material, neck rest, heavy-duty zippers and a reinforced base. that doesn’t feel like it has been shellacked and slippery. This 12” radius bound Pau Ferro $1,099.00 MAP Price Premium Gig Bag $89.00 fingerboard plays great. The MOTO block inlays EastwoodGuitars.com are attractive and add to the overall good looks of this guitar. Speaking of good looks… the German carved Maple top has a double bound chambered body with a gold plexi pickguard and a bound headstock. The Autunno Burst finish is well done too. For hardware, the Rivolta features nickel Kluson tuners, a compensated vintage wrap-over bridge and two “Novanta” P-90 pickups. The set Maple neck is a 25” scale that affords you 24 frets and the cutaway body design allows you easy access to all 24 of them. You have your standard volume and tone pots, plus a three-way pick-up selector. The 148 June 2019 Subscribe for Free...
