[WM] Jonathan, More Like Jesus is your
fourth solo album in as many years, which is
pretty prolific considering how much you’ve
been on the road with Journey. What are some
of the key similarities and differences between
how you approach your work as a solo Worship
artist versus a member of a band that has been
inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame?
[Jonathan Cain] When you’re writing with
Journey, it’s songwriting by committee. It takes
a lot of the band to create that stuff you know?
You rehearse it, try to find a lyric for something
that Neal has or something that I have, or I’ll
bring in the lyric and we’ll create a song from it.
