They say there’s only one chance to make a first
impression, and when I opened the case for the
PRS Hollowbody II Piezo, I must admit I was
immediately smitten. While looks don’t translate
into tone, craftsmanship is something that is
visible to the naked eye, and this instrument
made for one of the best unboxings ever. And
to top that off, playing was believing. This guitar
looks, feels, plays, and sounds great. This really
is one of those, “Shut up and take my money!”
guitars, especially for worship musicians who
love having a piezo at their fingertips.
Chances are you’re thinking, “That sounds
great, but I wanna know where it’s made!”
and I can’t blame you for that one bit. To that
I have to say that this instrument is proudly
manufactured in China, which to be perfectly
honest is something I’ve never said before.
What you might not know is that every PRS
electric guitar bares the signature of the person
who worked on it in the body cavity. As PRS
COO Jack Higginbotham pointed out when
he guested on The Worship Guitar Show, this
has two key benefits. First and foremost, this
inspires people to do work which they are proud
enough to put their own signature on. Secondly,
