INVESTING IN YOURSELF | Chris Rocha
Investing in yourself by acquiring knowledge
or skills is the most important investment you
can make for yourself. This means investing in
your skill to increase your knowledge base and
improve your gifting. In this article I will list some
of the resources that are available for worship
musicians to help improve their playing.
The first one is personal to me because I have
personally invested a lot of time and money
into it. My heart behind this is to invest in the
next generation and equip them to advance
God’s kingdom. I have personally experienced
what it’s like to not have other people share
their knowledge with me. Therefore, I have
put out content that I believe will be helpful to
Spanish guitarists of any caliber. These courses
are available on my online platform CR Online
(www.chrisrochaguitar.com) and it just launched
in June. In these online courses guitarists
are able to learn about basic to advanced
techniques along with many other helpful tips.
Other resources that I have found to be helpful
are Tim Pierce’s online program. In my opinion,
he is an outstanding guitar player and shares
many advanced techniques for guitarists. He
has an incredible resume and has been named
one of the top 10 studio guitarists in history. His
has many free guitar lessons available on his
website www.timpierceguitar.com
The last resource I highly recommend is Jeffrey
Kunde (jeffreykunde.com) He provides video
workshops that help teach you how to achieve
a professional tone with the gear you have. He
also has several books that teach music theory
and how to train your ear.
I hope you begin to realize how valuable you are
and how investing in yourself is worth it. Check
