SOUND CHECK DEAR SUBSCRIBERS, We trust you are well in these quite unusual times! Even though [WM] Worship Musician is published in the United States we do realize that many of our subscribers are reading this in other nations. We send you our greetings! Here in the U.S. there are some interesting facts emerging after a few months of the Covid 19 crisis. One of them is that a high percentage of the churches who have adapted to live streaming their services and ministries (about 72%) are going to continue live streaming even after they start to gather together again in person in their church buildings / meeting places. I also just heard a church thought leader in a virtual conference state that churches should at least set aside 5-10% of their budget towards whatever it takes to live streaming their church effectively. They went on to say that 20-30% of the budget would be a better way to go, as this is the direction of where things are going in the future. How all of this fits in with the Biblical command “do not forsake to gather together” remains to be seen.
