buddy Taylor Johnson convinced me to buy a
Gretsch Country Classic and that became my
go-to Gretsch guitar. It sounds amazing!
[WM] Who are some of the Gretsch players
who have most inspired and why?
[Daniel] My Gretsch influences are George
Harrison, Sean Ashby (Sarah McLachlan), The
Edge, Todd Nichols (Toad The Wet Sprocket),
Taylor Johnson, and Nigel Hendroff.
[WM] What about Gretsch guitars makes
them great for Worship music?
[Daniel] I think people like them for that style
because they have a great chimey top end
which is good for lead lines. Then for rhythm
parts, those pickups really are nice and fat. It’s
a great sound!
[WM] What are some of your favorite tracks
that you cut using a Gretsch?
