songwriter, engineer, and instrumentalist, Ed
shares his insights and heart regarding his gift
of music, and role in it.
[WM] Who and what initially influenced you to
take on the mammoth task of producing music,
and how did you garner the confidence to do
it?
[Ed Cash] My first musical memories are as a
three and four-year-old bouncing in the bathtub
to the rhythm of my father playing country and
blues and 50’s rock and roll songs by the side
of the tub, on his Fender Stratocaster guitar.
He, my Mom and my older brother Chip, taught
me to love music as a child, and to love the
God who created it. For that I am so very
thankful. This has a lot to do with why I have
felt confident. I can’t help but acknowledge
that God has given me a gift, but it’s nothing
