The car had the original bench seat, it is now gone.

Sven-Olov Aringskog, Skutskär, Sweden is modifying the Chevy into a race car by his own

specifications.

The car left factory with an in-line six. Today the complete driveline has been replaced and

the Chevy is powered by a newly built 383 engine.

The engine is a newly built 383 engine with roller cam, roller rockers and lifters, World heads, a Holley 850 carb supplied by a Magnafuel 300 fuel pump. A race prepped

350 transmission is delivering power to a 12 bolt rear axle with 3:73 gear ratio. The complete rear end is newly built. For maximum stability on track and street it now has a 4-link with coilovers suspension and the brakes have been replaced with modern disc brakes fitted all around. The bench seat was replaced for race seats. The plan is to add a roll cage and seat belts

during the winter.

Sven-Olov´s plan for the coming winter is to improve the safety features and equip the 1955 Chevy with a roll cage, seat belts and other safety features for upcoming races. The Wicked Ink Tattoo Chevy will be a popular attraction at the Swedish race tracks coming seasons.
