Björn Jansson is the man who fulfilled his dream he had carried on for many years. During the seventies, Bjorn had a 1950 Ford, not a convertible but a coupe he cruised the Norrtälje streets. Later he sold the car and a few years after that he bought a Cadillac but the old Ford got stuck in Bjorn’s memory. It was in there for almost 40 years until one day last year he settled the matter.

Björn Jansson from Sundsvall began systematically searching for himself through the US dry states for his dream car and in the end he found it in Nebraska. The deal was quickly made up by a car dealership as an intermediary and the car was loaded in a container for its journey to Europe and Sweden. When the car arrived to Bjorn he went through the car and found that it was in really good condition except that it was not possible to take the convertible top down by hydraulics only . It needed a little help. Troubleshooting began. First hydraulic pump was changed out but it did not help. Then the pistons and yes a bit better but it was not full so then remained hoses was also ordered and now everything works like it did in 1950 when the car was new. So with that done Bjorn took place behind the wheel in his Ford and drove straight up to Ljungaverk to Karlsro Flyers End of summer meeting where he had been three years earlier with a friend from Timra.

In this car it really paid off. Bjorn got a nice trophy for one of 10 most outstanding cars. The color on Bjorn’s Ford excised for only 2 years and only on convertibles. It fits really well on the car and it looks like a really good pastry that you want to take a bite from.
